KLS Degree College, Haliyal, organized a guest talk on “Waste Management and Green Jobs” by Mr. Shashank Prabhu from Waste Warriors, an organization working in eco-sensitive regions of India.The event began with A warm welcome to the gathering. Principal Shri Shrinivas Prabhu Sir addressing the audience and welcomed the guest. Key Highlights of the Talk. Shashank Prabhu emphasized, the urgent need for sustainable waste management Through improved Infrastructure behavioural Change livelihood Generation strong Governance opportunities in the green economy. India is expected to create 7 million new green jobs by 2028 Nearly 35 million green jobs by 2047 Encouragement for students to pursue careers in the green sector with competitive salary prospects.He concluded by sharing the “Mantra of 3”:1. Internships. 2 Certifications. 3. Networking. The session concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Meenaz Shaikh, expressing gratitude to the guest speaker, Mr. Shashank Prabhu, Principal Shri Shrinivas Prabhu Sir, faculty members and students for their active participation.
